Today in borders I was reading snippets of "Babylon's Ark" a recounting of the efforts to save the animals in the Bagdad zoo during the Iraq war. Holy crap. I hate reading animal books and being so ready to cry. Same thing happend to me a few months ago when I was reading a picture book about SPCA efforts to rescue the pets left behind from Katrina. Holy crap, I nearly cried while standing in Barnes and Noble. Embarrassing, but it's hard to help it when animals are helpless.
but the otters are still unbearably cute.
